Our company was born out of a desire to improve soil health and the realization that traditional wood disposal such as burning and chipping are detrimental to the environment. Located south of Ottawa and with decades of experience as an engineer, and farmer, our founder John, recognized an opportunity to improve his land while contributing to meaningful change. He learned about the ancient world of biochar and its remarkable benefits as a soil amendment and that it is a sustainable alternative to traditional disposal methods which release harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. This led to the establishment of our company and our mission.
